Our mission is to provide high quality financial services to our community and to promote economic growth and stability within the community while earning a reasonable return.  An important role for us is providing the resources that will allow the housing sector of this community to continue to grow and prosper.

The MCSB Story

Historic Marion County

Marion County Savings Bank was established in June of 1910 with $1,285 in assets. We are celebrating 100 years of community banking and an accomplishment of over $110,000,000 in assets. Marion County started as Marion County Building and Loan Association, with a mission to raise funds to be loaned for financing homes.

Our current facility, built in March 1972, is located in downtown Salem. A major drive-up facility expansion was completed in 1999 to accommodate Marion County Saving’s growth. Marion County Savings Bank one of the area's last remaining locally-owned financial institution. Our Board and Management Team are unique in that we understand the value that local ownership brings to the community. We plan to continue as a locally-owned bank, supporting community organizations, partnering with projects, and remaining sensitive to community needs.

As a community bank, we have control over the decisions that need to be made to take care of the financial needs of hard working families and local businesses. We know the people that make up our community. Most importantly, when it comes to taking care of their financial needs, we prefer to keep it local and keep it simple. Our plan is to remain as a strong and stable locally-owned financial resource for the residents and businesses of Marion County!
